Education: Getting Started

A guide to resources for doing library research in the field of education, highlighting the specialized indexes and reference works to educational research.

Reference Sources

Items in the Reference collection -- particularly subject encyclopedias -- are great starting points for your research. Encyclopedia articles offer concise overviews of a topic, summaries of key research in a particular discipline, and often include a bibliography which can serve as a starting list of sources for your project.

Note that many of the titles mentioned here are shelved in the L (Education), BF (Psychology), and H (Social Sciences) call number sections of the Baker-Berry Reference Collection. Browse shelves nearby to locate additional relevant titles.
