Start conducting research in environmental studies with the best indexes, databases, and reference works recommend by the subject librarian.

Open Access Publication Funding

Dartmouth College recently joined the Compact on Open Access Publishing, and supports the publication fees for open access journals that qualify for the funding.

See the Dartmouth Policy for Open Access Publication Equity Funding for details and the form to use for requesting publication fee support.

Author Rights

Retain rights to use and reuse your publications! Dartmouth College provides a publishing contract amendment that helps you do this.  See Author Rights: Tools & Resources for the form and names of people who will help you in negotiations with publishers about your rights as an author.

Peer Reviewed Open Access Journals

To find Open Access Journals, explore the Directory of Open Access Journals by title or by subject area. Start with the Open Access Journals in Environmental Sciences, and explore others, like Ecology.
