Leganto - Course Reserves

Access the Library Reserves/Guides Page

In every Canvas course, enter through the left navigation Library Reserves/Guides or go directly to the Library Reserves tool, https://dcl.alma.exlibrisgroup.com/leganto/login?auth=SAML (you will be prompted to login).

  • Current term courses and list templates are automatically created by the system.
    • If Course Reserves were processed by library staff for the course in the past two years, those courses taught in those years.
      • To reuse a list from the past two years, please email baker.circulation@dartmouth.edu.
        • Is there content? Open the list and see. If not, there is nothing to copy. Please create a list using the SU22 course. (Reserves were all electronic from SP20-SU21 and so there may not be content to copy.)
      • Note: online content, PDFs and URLs, are not included in these past lists. Scanned and linked readings are on the Canvas course page.
  • Select the list to work on.
    • Input information into Library Discussion (see details below) so library staff know the loan time and location for physical reserve items.

If Administrative Assistants or other support staff need to be able to work in the Library Reserves tool, please adjust their level of access in the Canvas course. The Canvas authorization carries through to the Reserves tool.
