Browser Extensions For Accessing Full-text

Browser extensions which are licensed by the library to improve access to electronic resources.

About

The Lean Library browser extension provides quick and simple access to electronic resources purchased by the library.

What does the extension do?

The extension will automatically detect when you are on a website that contains content the library subscribes to.

For example, the extension will direct you to available full-text while you’re searching for articles in Google Scholar or looking for ebooks on a publisher’s website.

The extension may take a moment to respond while it is checking for access.

If the content you’d like to use doesn’t seem accessible, the extension will automatically check for open-access versions of the article or provide an Interlibrary Loan request link otherwise.

The extension also provides:

  • Article metrics from Scite_ for both Pubmed and Google Scholar
  • Subscribe to TOC (table of contents) links for journals in Google Scholar
  • Highlight text on a page and right-click and select the "Search@Dartmouth Library" to get citation results
  • Integration with Zotero. How to use.
