Capital IQ: Getting Started

Dartmouth access to Capital IQ has moved to SSO authentication.  If you are unable to access Capital IQ, please email Feldberg Library for assistance. 

S&P Capital IQ provides a wealth of information on companies, markets and people. Covers market intelligence, financial analysis, screening and targeting, and relationships between people and organizations.

• Open Capital IQ and login with SSO
• Accept the S&P Global Terms and Conditions
• Review the Capital IQ Investment Research End User Agreement and click "I Agree"
• You will then be logged in and taken to the My Capital IQ dashboard. 

• Open Capital IQ and login with SSO

• If you get an error message after your first time trying to login with SSO, try clearing your cookies/cached data or using a private/incognito window. 
• In some cases where the Capital IQ Website is not working please ensure that you have third party cookies enabled in your browser.
• If you are unable to access your saved items and were using Capital IQ prior to September 2025, email Feldberg Library. We may need to merge your old account with the new.
• If you are having trouble installing or using the Excel Add-in, email Feldberg Library. We will provide instructions for the new authentication process.
