Reading for Fun

Looking for something to read? This guide will help you find print books, ebooks, and audiobooks available at the Dartmouth College Library and beyond.

EBSCO Audiobook Collection Now Available!

The new and improved EBSCO Audiobook platform is now available! Audiobooks download directly to the app on your iPhone or Android.

  1. First, download the app on your phone or mobile device from the iTunes or Android store -- search for EBSCO Audiobooks.

  2. Next, search or browse the audiobook collection. You'll need to sign in to your EBSCO account or create a new account. If you previously used  EBSCO audiobooks, or if you have an EBSCO account for other online content, you can use the same account. (Please note that our subscription is limited to Dartmouth patrons only; community members are encouraged to use the audiobooks available through NH and VT public libraries -- see box below.)

  3. Then, follow these steps to check out a title and download it to your iPhone or Android. Titles may circulate for up to 14 days.

Audiobooks at NH and VT Public Libraries

Both New Hampshire and Vermont offer downloadable audiobooks through local public libraries. You will need a library card for any public library in your state. Dartmouth students can get a library card at Hanover's Howe Public Library at no charge.
