    Online suite of publications providing literature review articles for a wide range of social sciences & sciences, including Annual Review of Anthropology, Annual Review of Sociology, and more!
  • Creative searching in Sociological Abstracts & other databases
     
    Most of our databases (bibliographic and full text) do not have specific filters or categories for review articles. You'll have to search terms such as "literature review", "review of the literature", etc.
    But realize that most scholarly articles will include a brief lit review in the introduction. A recent article relevant to your topic can be a goldmine of bibliographic citations to additional research.

    ProQuest Dissertations and Theses is the world's most comprehensive collection of dissertations and theses. The official digital dissertations archive for the Library of Congress and the database of record for graduate research. PQDT — Full Text includes millions of searchable citations to dissertation and theses from around the world from 1861 to the present day together with over a million full text dissertations that are available for download in PDF format. Over 2.1 million titles are available for purchase as printed copies. The database offers full text for most of the dissertations added since 1997 and strong retrospective full text coverage for older graduate works.

The library home page's main search tool is a great place to start, but there are many additional tools that allow you to conduct more targeted searching.

    We subscribe to more than 70 different databases through the ProQuest company. You can search across all of them simultaneously by starting at their main "Search.ProQuest.Com" page.
  • Sage Journals Online
    Sage publishes the journals of the American Sociological Association, along with many other social science journals. Note we do not subscribe to all content Some journals are available through other services (check our catalog) or interlibrary loan.
