Bates’ Visual Guide Upgrade Coming Soon

Bates’s Visual Guide to Physical Examination has a new platform with additional video content.

Access to the current Bates platform will be available from the Health Sciences and Biomedical Libraries website until Wednesday, December 18. Your Canvas links and browser bookmarks will continue to work until January 12. Please update your links before then!

How to Update Bates Video Links in Canvas

• Option 1: Copy the individual video URLs from the new platform.
• Option 2: Reference this mapping of the old URLs to the new URLs. For this option, you must add the following proxy prefix (below) to the beginning of the URL for off campus access.

New Video Content

The new site includes additional content, including physical examination of pregnant patients and a pathology and special maneuvers video for each regional exam. Some content has also been re-organized, so there is not always a direct 1-to-1 mapping of old videos to new.
