Returning to Student Life

Returning to an academic environment after time away can be quite an adjustment. Balancing time, remembering foundational skills you haven't touched in ages, or finding new study habits can all be a challenge.   • Open Textbooks for Engineering - Engineering Libraries Division of ASEE
    The Engineering Libraries Division of the American Society for Engineering Education curated this helpful resource of open textbooks for engineering. The list is divided by sub-discipline for easy access.
  • Wikibooks: Engineering bookshelf
    This bookshelf contains a number of wikibooks in various stages of completion. All books on this shelf deal with the topic of Engineering, broken down into a number of subdisciplines.
  • MERLOT Engineering Portal
    MERLOT Engineering hosts hundreds of materials across engineering disciplines, including embeddable 3D simulations.
  • BC Campus - Engineering Textbooks
    BC Campus has open textbooks related to engineering. Some materials are reviewed and some come with supplementary materials.
  • OpenStax
    Freely accessible open textbooks in business, computer science, math, science, and more.
  • Khan Academy
    With practice exercises, instructional videos, and a personalized learning dashboard, Khan Academy empowers learners to study at their own pace, both in and out of the classroom. Includes free lessons in math, computer science, and more.
  • Crash Course
    The Crash Course team has produced more than 50 courses on a wide variety of subjects including entrepreneurship, artificial intelligence, business soft skills, statistics, and many more. These comprehensive introductions are an excellent way to learn or review topics.
