Point-of-care resources like DynaMed and UptoDate contain high quality drug information, but you can also look elsewhere for more in-depth information.

Popular subscription resources for drug information

Lexidrug
Lexicomp is an excellent resource for quickly accessing drug information. Within Lexicomp, you'll find relevant drug information, including drug calculators, an interaction checker, and patient education materials.
DynaMed
There are a number of ways to find drug information in DynaMed. Simply search a drug in the search box by brand or generic name to be taken to the monograph for that drug. From the home page, click on the Drugs A-Z list (second tab) to scroll all available drug monographs. To quickly check drug interactions, click on the Drug Interactions tab (third tab) and enter the drug names.
UpToDate
There are three ways to find drug information in UpToDate: first, by searching the drug brand or generic in the search box. Second, hover over the Contents tab, and select the Drug Information link. Third, check possible drug interactions by clicking the Drug Interactions tab. You can also find patient handouts on specific drugs.

Web and other specialty resources

Drugs and lactation database (LactMed)
The LactMed® database contains information on drugs and other chemicals to which breastfeeding mothers may be exposed. It includes information on the levels of such substances in breast milk and infant blood, and the possible adverse effects in the nursing infant. Suggested therapeutic alternatives to those drugs are provided, where appropriate. All data are derived from the scientific literature and fully referenced. A peer review panel reviews the data to assure scientific validity and currency.

Find dosing, pricing, and formulary information (requires a free login).
GoodRx
Find pricing information for drugs and compare prices at different locations.

Natural Medicines
The most authoritative resource available on dietary supplements, natural medicines, and complementary alternative and integrative therapies. Find an interaction checker, information on adverse effects, and pregnancy/lactation safety information.
