Census Data

Every 10 years, the United States government is required to count all of its citizens. This is a guide to the Decenniel Census. The government not only tries to count all of us, but also gather different types of data about all of us.

Maps in the library's collection

The Census Bureau has a large selection of already printed Census Maps. These maps include census tracts, blocks and redistricting. Most are available via their web site. They are also available on CD or DVD in the Jones Media Center. Maps for earlier censuses are available in the Government Document Stacks in Baker Stacks Level 1 or the regular stacks in HA 200 on Berry Level 3.
