Census Data

Every 10 years, the United States government is required to count all of its citizens. This is a guide to the Decenniel Census. The government not only tries to count all of us, but also gather different types of data about all of us.

New Census Data Site

The Census Bureau has a new data exploration platform to view and download data. This is still a work in progress. If you don't see what you're looking for, Ask Us! If you feel the Bureau's new site is missing functionality, let them know. There is a feedback email located on the front page.

CensusCD products Online

The following CensusCD products are online but you must come to the Evans Map Room to use them. There are other CensusCD products also available in the map room. Please visit the Room to see more of them.

Historical Data

Finding historic census data can be a little difficult. The Census Bureau makes available the data from the 1990 and 2000 Censuses online at American Factfinder. However, they do not provide access to the earlier censuses at this time.
