Introduction

Social Explorer provides access to demographic information about the United States from 1790 to the most current dataset. You have a choice of the traditional census data, data from the Public Use Microdata Sample (PUMS) or the American Community Survey (ACS). You can create reports, maps and slide shows.

If you have problems getting to the Professional edition of Social Explorer and you used the Free Edition before, you need to clear your browser of the cookie that is already there. Until you clear that cookie, your browser will only see the Free Edition.

This resource lets you visualize historical and current census data. Social Explorer also includes data for crime, health, religion, censuses for Canada and the United Kingdom and development indicators.
To take full advantage of Social Explorer, you must create an account within the resource.
