Library Resources for Arts & Sciences Faculty

A quick guide for library resources and services that Arts & Sciences faculty need.

Does the library help with open access publishing fees like Article Processing Charges (APCs)?

The Libraries have shifted from a fund for individual APC financial support to Transformative or Read & Publish Agreements with certain publishers that cover APC costs for Dartmouth corresponding authors. We no longer fund individual APCs as of July 2024, formerly known as the COPE or APC fund. We are still in the process of evaluating agreements with different publishers, and you can see which ones we have partnered with in the link below.

Additionally, we support open scholarship through the Dartmouth Digital Commons, our institutional repository where you can host your manuscripts, published articles with reference to copyright, white papers, technical reports, teaching materials and other Open Educational Resources you may create and wish to make publicly available. Read more about public access, the digital commons, and our scholarly communications department below.

I have a copyright question. Who can I contact?

Our Scholarly Communication, Copyright & Publishing department is able to guide you through the complexities of copyright, plagiarism, and more.
